The darkness that sects and congregations have created on our children in our country continues to grow with each passing day, and a new one is added to these unscrupulous events.

Again, we read with aching heart the news that the 44-year-old director of a cult founded in the Sultangazi district of Istanbul abused the 14-year-old boy who was staying in the dormitory of this foundation.

It is enough! We will not turn a blind eye to sects and congregations that abuse and neglect our children.

The great danger posed by sects and communities is demonstrated by the constant emotional, physical or sexual abuse of children or their death of them due to these unacceptable events. These institutions, which systematically abuse the poor and needy children and their families in our country, and imprison them in darkness by abusing their religious beliefs, should be shut down immediately!

With the power we derive from the Constitution and our laws, we will not allow the lives of our children to end and abuse to be covered up.

No form of abuse against children is acceptable. There is no forgiveness for abuse, it cannot be!

We will not surrender our children and our future to darkness by carrying the values of our century-old secular Republic into the future. Mustafa Kemal Atatürk: "The Republic of Turkey will not be a country of sects, sheiks, and disciples!" By remembering his words, we will continue to continue our struggle in the light of Atatürk's revolution and principles.
