We would love to open our eyes to a day when women are free, not subjected to violence, and do not have to fight for their fundamental rights.

The International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women is observed on November 25, every year. 

According to the data of the We Will Stop Femicides Platform, 280 women have been killed by men since the first day of 2022, and 202 femicides have been considered suspicious. Many prominent female figures in society have been targeted and threatened for practicing their profession and expressing their thoughts freely.

We can no longer endure witnessing women deprived of their right to life!

The number of mindsets that intimidate women and confine them to homes claiming it is safe is increasing day by day. As ÇYDD, we carry out our work with our branches, volunteers, and supporters by believing in the power of secular and scientific education in creating a modern society that respects human rights. We are strengthening the foundation of contemporary society through our work to ensure that girls benefit equally from the right to education, eliminate gender-based inequalities, and make education accessible to all children.  We hope that the younger generations and the contemporary perspective we are trying to instill in them will put an end to gender discrimination.

We no longer want to be sharing or seeing accounts of violence, harassment, and brutality!

We reject a justice system in which perpetrators of violence are justified and victims are blamed. We demand being able to have our voices heard freely despite those who try to drag women into a dark future.

On the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, as ÇYDD, we oppose all kinds of violence against women with the strength we have received from the Republic. As always, we will not stop declaring the "Istanbul Convention Keeps Us Alive!"
