Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği held the Türkan Saylan Health Symposium on the occasion of March 14 Medicine Day. Many healthcare professionals and ÇYDD students who continue their education on health attended the symposium, which was held with intense participation in the digital environment, as speakers. The health symposium organized in memory of Türkan Saylan was guided by ÇYDD Board Member Prof. Dr. Filiz Meriçli and Yener Gül, a past graduate of ÇYDD. In the symposium consisting of 4 sessions, each speaker made informative presentations related to his/her field and shared problem identification and solution suggestions with the participants. In the symposium, evaluations were made on the topics of "the importance of preventive health services, the problems experienced in the health system and the solutions to these problems, the difficulties faced by students studying in the field of health, and social responsibility in health". KAHEV (Female Physicians Education Support Foundation) attended the Türkan Saylan Health Symposium, which was held for the first time this year by ÇYDD, as the guest of honor. At the event, Prof. Dr. Yıldız Tümerdem was also honored for her valuable work in the field of preventive health services and in accordance with the ÇYDD statute during the Republic period and was presented with the "Çağdaş Yaşam Public Health Award".

Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel: We Will Do Our Best to Solve the Problems of Our Students

Speaking at the event, ÇYDD Chairman Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel stated that ÇYDD will always act together with students in the field of health, as in education, and said, "Today, we came together in memory of March 14. We will shape this day, where we bring together science and modernity, with the contributions of all participants. The issue of health also has a very important place in the statute of the Contemporary Life Support Association. This situation is clearly stated in the fourth paragraph of the fourth article in the working principles of the association's statute. For this reason, we must always support our youth not only in the field of education but also in the field of health. In this context, one of our duties is to support young people studying in the field of health, to introduce all our young people to preventive health services, to inform them about the importance of preventive health, to bring education and health together and to raise awareness on this issue. ÇYDD is a big ecosystem, students from different departments live together here. I believe that these young people will achieve great success in their fields. It is a great pleasure to be able to prepare such a symposium with our students. One of the most prominent elements of this symposium is that all healthcare professionals who grew up and live in the ÇYDD culture are working to leave their mark on the future without losing their efforts and hope. Today, we learned a lot from young people and listened to them. "We will do our best to solve the problems of our students by planning scientific studies in line with the suggestions from our young people," she said.

Dr. Demet Başer: The Fire of Education and Republic Will Never Go Out

The guest of honor of the program, KAHEV President Dr. Demet Başer stated that they will not give up working in the field of education and health and said, "It is very important for us to be together with you as the guest of honor at this event. I see all people like us who work to support education as a gem of Anatolia. No matter what anyone does, these seeds will always germinate and rise in Anatolia. This fire of education and the Republic will never go out. Because these feelings exist both in our souls and in our lands. For this reason, one day Türkan Saylan will appear, one day Ayşe Yüksel will appear, one day someone else will appear, but this torch always continues to burn.”
