THE PROTECTION OF THE RIGHT TO LIFE IS THE STATE’S PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

One year has passed since the death of Rojin Kabaiş, a 21-year-old university student. The
developments following Rojin’s death have once again revealed the harsh reality of femicide
in our country and the persistent inability to effectively address this issue.
Every girl has the right to live in safety and to receive education in a secure environment.
The place of girls is in schools where they can be educated under safe, equal, and
contemporary conditions. Protecting the right to life is the primary responsibility of both
the state and society.
As Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği, we once again emphasize that we will steadfastly
follow the protection of women’s right to life, the safeguarding of girls’ rights to safe
education, and the equal and fair conduct of legal processes.
