THE 16th TÜRKAN SAYLAN ART AWARD IS SEEKING ITS WINNER IN THE “SHORT STORY” CATEGORY!

Organized every year since 2011 by Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği (ÇYDD) in the name
of Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan, the Türkan Saylan Art and Science Awards are once again
seeking their recipient in the Short Story category.
THE 16th TÜRKAN SAYLAN ART AWARD IS SEEKING ITS WINNER IN THE “SHORT STORY”
CATEGORY!
Organized annually since 2011 by Çağdaş Yaşamı Destekleme Derneği (ÇYDD) in honor of
Prof. Dr. Türkan Saylan, the Türkan Saylan Art and Science Awards are now open for
submissions in the Short Story category.
The competition is open to citizens of the Republic of Türkiye who are 18 years of age or
older, excluding members of the selection committee and their first-degree relatives.
Applicants may participate with only one short story book, written in Turkish and published
by a publishing house between January 1 and December 31, 2025.
Authors wishing to be considered for the award must submit eight copies of their book,
along with a curriculum vitae and contact information (address, phone number, e-mail
address), to the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life at the address below no later
than January 9, 2026.
If deemed necessary, the selection committee may announce a finalist list prior to the
official announcement of the result.
Authors who submit their books to the competition shall be deemed to have accepted these
terms.
