The project that was started together with the Association for Supporting Contemporary Life (ÇYDD) in 2004 reached its 15th year in 2019. The aim of the project is to empower women in society and to have them obtain equal opportunity in the social and economic milieu.

Mercedes-Benz Turk contributes to the education, personal development and the employment of female students.

The students are given personal and carrier development guidance as well as financial support. Scholarship students are visited in their hometowns.  They are given computer science and coding courses. They are encouraged to better their English with on-line courses. Students from different provinces are hosted in Istanbul for a summer get together for one week. When the students complete their education successfully with the support of the ‘Each of Our Girls is a Star’ project, Mercedes-Benz Turk presents employment possibilities to them. Presently, 20\% of the women working in the production section of the company are ‘Star Girls’.

‘Every Girl is a Star’ project is one of Turkey’s long lasting social responsibility projects.

Ezgi Yıldız Kefeli, Corporate Communications President of Mercedes-Benz Turk, received the prize for her company and said that yet another prize for their ‘Each of Our Girls is a Star’ project makes them very happy. She continued to say, “As one of Turkey’s long lasting and sustainable social responsibility projects, ‘Each of Our Girls is a Star’ supports and empowers women. We provide scholarships and put into practice various personal and professional development programs. For instance, we work in conjunction with our ‘Ask Someone Who Knows’ initiative that was a winner with another of our corporate social responsibility projects, ‘Mercedes-Benz Turk StartUP’. Together we developed university entrance-exam question sets to help ‘Star Girls’ to have a better chance of doing well when taking the university entrance exams. We also provide employment opportunities.  20\% of our woman employees in the production section are former scholarship holders of the ‘Every Girl is a Star’ project. So far we have supported 5 000 individuals and we wish to continue to help more women.”
