Association for Supporting Contemporary Life organized two grand events at TÜYAP in Istanbul between November 18 and 19, 2022.

The ÇYDD Search Conference was held on Friday, November 18, and on Saturday, November 19, ÇYDD Branches Meeting was held with the participation of the association’s branches from all over Turkey.

The Search Conference, which was held by ÇYDD for the second time in twelve years, was attended by important names from the fields of business, media, academia, and civil society as well as the association managers, members, volunteers, and students. At the conference, where the ten-year goals and future design of ÇYDD were discussed in the light of the studies carried out by ÇYDD in the last ten years, a general informative presentation was made by the ÇYDD Chairman Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel about ÇYDD's ten-year work.

ÇYDD OVER 10 YEARS

Prof. Dr. Yüksel spoke about the ÇYDD Future Design study, and she said, "We always continue our journey towards modernity together and under all circumstances with our members, volunteers, and stakeholders.  Today, taking into account the work carried out under local and international conditions, we present 'ÇYDD over 10 Years - What Was Planned and Realized in 10 Years'.  In order to determine a long-term and efficient road map for ÇYDD and to be prepared for the problems we may encounter along the way, we aim to work in coordination with our branches and all stakeholders to find solutions to the problems of increasing poverty, inequality of opportunity and to overcome barriers to free, scientific, secular and modern education."

24 DIFFERENT GROUPS DISCUSSED THE ÇYDD FUTURE DESIGN

Sabancı University Search Chair Prof. Dr. Oğuz Babüroğlu and his team conducted the event where brainstorming sessions were held under two different titles: ÇYDD Future Design and ÇYDD Management Approach. The participants were then divided into 24 different groups and the goals that emerged in the brainstorming sessions were further discussed in detail. The first presentations were made at the end of the study. Finally, 3 groups representing the previous 24 groups shared the ÇYDD Future Design with the participants.

ÇYDD BRANCHES MEETING WAS HELD WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF 81 BRANCHES

Following the Search Conference, the ÇYDD Branches Meeting hosted by ÇYDD Headquarters on Saturday, November 19 was held with the participation of 201 members from 81 branches in different regions of Turkey and 1 representation abroad.

The opening speech of the meeting was made by the ÇYDD President Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel. Dr. Yüksel’s message was "Together for a Contemporary Future and Contemporary Turkey" and she concluded her speech with the following words of ÇYDD's unforgettable Chairman Prof. Dr. Türkân Saylan, "If a child somewhere hungry for science, democracy, peace and enlightenment is waiting for your light, you have no right to be extinguished. You will shine, even if you are seconds away from death..."

Within the scope of the meeting, first of all, the members of the ÇYDD Headquarters Board of Directors made presentations on the works of the Headquarters Units and the association’s projects. Following the presentations, free lectern speeches were made with the contributions of the ÇYDD branches and the Contemporary Youth.  Finally, along with the topics discussed in the Search Conference, ÇYDD's growing and strengthening projects were evaluated and the promise of "We will continue to work together for a modern future!" was renewed.

The Branches Meeting ended with the closing speech of ÇYDD Chairman Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel.
