CAGDAS YASAMI DESTEKLEME DERNEGI Headquarters, together with Bahçelievler Branch, organized
a Republic Ball to celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic. Contemporary life volunteers
showed great interest in the ball hosted by IBB Florya Social Facilities. The ball, attended by CYDD
President Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel , CYDD Headquarters Board Members, CYDD Branch representatives,
students from the CYDD Youth Center Unit and donors, started with a classical music concert. The
performance of tenor Aykut Yılmaz and pianist Senay Yılmaz, who took the stage afterwards, based
on republic and Atatürk themed songs, was greatly appreciated by the participants. ÇYDD President
made a speech at the event where the enthusiasm for the Republic was experienced to the fullest.
She underlined that they were inspired by Atatürk in their work as CYDD and said, "We are here to
celebrate the 100th anniversary of our Republic and to reiterate our promise that we will protect our
republic forever. The struggle of the Great Atatürk to gain our independence shed light on the work
we will carry out today and inspired us to produce and contribute to society. How lucky we are that
we are here thanks to those pair of blue eyes. If we are here with you today, if we were able to
complete our education, if we were able to become an individual, if our women's words are listened
to, we owe this to our Republic and Atatürk, the founder of our Republic. The founding process of
our association started 35 years ago with exactly this thought and belief. Adhering to the values of
the Republic, we worked to reach the level of a modern country through modern education in line
with Ataturk's revolution and principles; "We will continue to work," she said.

In her speech, Prof. Dr. Yüksel stated that, as CYDD, they will not give up defending the republic and
republican values. She said, "Let's make a promise to the Great Atatürk. I swear to everyone in this
hall, young and old, men and women, that we will keep the secular Republic of Turkey, which Atatürk
entrusted to us, alive forever. We took an oath for this, we promise. She concluded her words by
saying, "We will continue to walk on our path with this goal."
