Scholarship support for children that have lost their mothers to femicide and that have thus been exposed to exploitation

A cooperation protocol was signed between the Association for Supporting Contemporary Living (ÇYDD) and the Children and Women First Association (Önce Çocuklar ve Kadınlar Derneği).

A cooperative scholarship project was put in place and signed between The Children and Women First Association and ÇYDD to provide support for the children of women who were victims of femicide and that have been exposed to exploitation. 

With the protocol, the defenseless children of women that were murdered will receive scholarships throughout their middle school, high school, and university education.  The project also aims to help the children and their families to be able to talk about the crisis they are going through, reduce the impact of the trauma, and restore their social lives to normality.

The CYDD President Prof. Dr. Ayşe Yüksel, Vice-President Adv. Sedat Durna, Treasurer Nilgün Polat Gevrek, Secretary, Orhan Argon, the President of the Children and Women First Association Adv. Müjde Tozbey Erdem and the Executive Committee Member Adv. Nida Baltalı was present at the meeting.  Prof. Dr. Yüksel expressed that ‘’Our heartfelt desire is to not need this project in the future, to have no child exploited ever again and to not lose women to murder.’’
