3rd Kuşadası Open Water Swimming Race was Held.

The 3rd Kuşadası Open Water Swimming Competition was held on October 21 with the participation
of swimmers from all over Turkey who are devoted to swimming. CYDD Kuşadası Branch managers,
scholarship students, parents and Contemporary Life volunteers showed great participation in the
event organized under the leadership of CYDD Kuşadası Branch and with the contributions of ÇYDD
Headquarters and Kuşadası Municipality. In the event held on the 100th anniversary of our Republic
with the slogan "Every Stroke is a Hope", 261 athletes from various disciplines competed to support
the education of girls.

Kuşadası 3rd Open Water Swimming Race; It was held by CYDD Kuşadası Branch on October 21, with
the initiatives of CYDD Kuşadası Branch Sports Officer Bağdagül Şimşek. In the event organized for
the 100th anniversary of our Republic, where 261 swimmers competed, participants swam towards
hope to support the education of girls. The event was hosted by Ladies' Sea, Kuşadası's world-
famous blue flag beach. In order to ensure the safety of the athletes during the competition held in
the 1500 meters, 3000 meters and 4 x 250 relay categories, the AKUT Water Search and Rescue Team
and the 9-person diving team affiliated with the Coast Guard Station Command accompanied the
swimmers with their boat. Famous swimmers such as Turgut Esen and Murat Meto, as well as ÇYDD
Headquarters Reserve Board of Directors Sports Unit Supervisor Serpil Çakmak Karan swam in the
competiton. Awards were given to the athletes who were ranked as a result of the competitions by
Kuşadası Deputy Mayor Seyfi Seyhan Suvari, City Council President Mustafa Ünver, City Council
Disabled People President Muhsin Aytekin, CYDD Headquarters Reserve Board of Directors Sports
Unit Supervisor Serpil Çakmak Karan, CYDD Kuşadası Branch President Münevver Kılıç and CYDD
Board Members. In the event, which was held with the slogan "No Daughter Left Uneducated" in
order to ensure equal opportunities in education, athletes continued their struggle outside the water
for equal opportunities in education by launching individual donation campaigns. TYF referees who
took part in the event also donated their referee fees to the education of girls on the occasion of the
100th anniversary of our republic. The donation campaigns of Özlem Ör, Gediz Ersin, Aslıhan Akan,
Cenk Keçoğlu and Iranian swimmer Raha Akhavan, who started individual donation campaigns,
continue.
