ÇYDD “KODLAMACA / Coding” Project

In the 21st century, the use of digital technologies has become a necessity for efficiency and competitiveness  in every business sector . Having lit a candle in 1989 to enable girls in rural areas to go to school and have a profession, ÇYDD  is now aiming to teach young minds “computer coding” . The goals are as follows:

- Create free minds,

- Enable children to produce and not only consume in the digital world,

- Support creative and analytical thinking.

Children studying in public schools in 5th , 6th and 7th grades and those with limited financial means will benefit from the project.

In 2016, the pilot project was carried out in ÇYDD İzmir, Çeşme and  Soma Cultural and Educational Centers and in Istanbul ÇYDD Dila Kurt  and  Ferhat Şenatalar  Cultural and Educational Centers’ Summer Schools.

The project will continue in the same centers and in some new ÇYDD Istanbul and İzmir branches during the 2016-2017 school year. The project is designed to cover three courses. The first two courses will teach the logic of algorithms and computer coding in a fun and creative way. The third course will cover basic mobile applications and robotics and will prepare participating children for various competitions.
